Our values

Chopard has remained a fully independent family firm to this day. Running and developing a company such as Chopard could not be done without a precise and rigorous set of governing principles. Over the years, several corporate values have emerged, all firmly rooted in the family spirit. They form the "backbone" of Chopard. Endowed with a code of ethics nurtured by common sense and loyalty, the Chopard company has been steadily and serenely forged... since 1860.

In harmony with its past and with Chopard's pragmatic philosophy, independence is the primary value of this House. It explains why production has reached such a high degree of vertical integration.

Quality and Excellence

Chopard can draw upon a vast reservoir of in-house expertise and experience uniting more than 45 different crafts within the twin fields of watch- and jewellery-making.

Creative innovation is both encouraged and supported on all levels. A quest for excellence is revealed in each field of activity, ranging from R&D to sophisticated design and modern production means, as well as encompassing customer relations and the brand’s global communication.

Keenly aware that its personnel are the beating heart of the company, Chopard has given top priority to training its artisans. Within the workshops, the production processes are constantly improved, and various skills are cultivated, updated, and passed on in order to guarantee high quality.

This value is apparent in the long-term relations cultivated with clients, suppliers, and of course with staff. This respect is also accorded to the company’s traditions and history. It is moreover expressed by Chopard’s social and philanthropic commitments, including to the José Carreras Leukaemia Foundation, the Elton John AIDS Foundation and The Prince’s Charities promoted by HRH The Prince of Wales, as well as through corporate social responsibility and respect for environmental issues.

Success requires a fine balance between a determination to promote company growth and the ability to take calculated risks. Each model, each variation or each one-of-a-kind Chopard creation has its own story.
