5 OCTOBER 2018

Paris, September 30, 2018 – For the second consecutive year, Chopard has been the exclusive jeweler for Le Défilé L’Oréal Paris. Open to the public at large, the runway show was staged on the River Seine, the symbolic heart of Paris and celebrated two worlds inextricably associated with the French capital: fashion and beauty. Showcasing 70s looks paying tribute to Parisian elegance, the most stunning muses from L’Oréal Paris strode confidently down the catwalk wearing Chopard jewelry.

For the second year in a row, Chopard was the exclusive jewelry partner to the event. The casting of the Fashion Show included a number of L’Oréal Paris international ambassadors, including Bianca Balti, Thylane Blondeau, Marie Bochet, Maria Borges, Cheryl, Elle Fanning, Luma Grothe, Davika Hoorne, Liya Kebede, Aja Naomi King, Eva Longoria, Judit Masco, Andie McDowell, Soo Joo Park, Duckie Thot, Nikolaj Coster Waldau and Ming Xi, all there to celebrate beauty and feminine diversity through 70s looks. This splendid display, truly worthy of the fashion capital’s inimitable prestige, was achieved by combining the talents of L’Oréal Paris hairdressers and makeup artists, Chopard jewelry artisans, as well as the couture houses partnering the event.
Among the creations from the watchmaker-jeweler was an Haute Joaillerie set especially dreamed up by Chopard co-president and artistic director, Caroline Scheufele: a stunning necklace with matching earrings featuring 18-carat white gold and tinted titanium volutes, diamonds, tanzanites and lapis lazuli inlays. This exceptional jewelry set, worn by Ming Xi, was the finishing touch to the runway show during which the entire range of watch and jewelry collections from the Maison were featured – notably the Happy Hearts talisman jewelry line designed for big-hearted women, of which there are many examples among the elegant Parisian ladies who inspired these models.
