THE MOVEMENT COLLECTION
DIVERSITY IN COMPLICATIONS
Including almost the entire range of complications, the technical diversity of L.U.C watch movements is impressive. The current mechanical watch movement collection includes classic models as well as the ultra-thin calibre – a complication in its own right given the difficulty of creating it. Others still are far more complex.
19 YEARS, 10 BASE CALIBRES, 60 VARIATIONS
Chopard Manufacture brings together all the professions necessary to realize its timepieces from inception to finished piece. Since 1996, no less than ten watch movement families encompassing over 60 variations have been developed. COSC and Fleurier Quality Foundation certifications and the Poinçon de Genève bear testimony to the quality, durability and accuracy of these calibres.
ONE MAN'S DETERMINATION
The founding of Chopard Manufacture in 1996 stemmed from Karl-Friedrich Scheufele’s desire that Chopard gain full legitimacy in the field of Haute Horlogerie. He wanted to provide his clients with timepieces rich in content; build timepieces in a dedicated and technically well-equipped entity; and remain a fully integrated, independent manufacture. Only then could he design and develop the watches that would reflect his clients' passion.
EXCLUSIVE INNOVATIONS AND TECHNICAL SOLUTIONS
The L.U.C calibre range comprises a number of innovative achievements, such as the L.U.C Twin technology with its double barrel ensuring a 65-hour power reserve; the orbital moon phase with its innovative display; and the Variner® balance wheel with built-in inertia-blocks. It is also grounded on a philosophy that places concern for aesthetics and fine craftsmanship at the heart of its approach to creating movements.
