A prestigious recognition – Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève 2012

It is with great pride and pleasure that the IMPERIALE Tourbillon Joaillerie timepiece has won the “Jewellery and Artistic Crafts Watch” prize at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève 2012, on November 15th.

In his thank you speech, Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, Co-President of Chopard, said: « This watch perfectly symbolizes the world of Chopard: the symbiosis of two passions, “Haute Horlogerie” and “Haute Joaillerie”, and celebrates all the time honoured-crafts practised at Chopard ».

Presented by Adriana Karembeu and Frédéric Beigbeder, the prize-giving ceremony of the 12th edition of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) was held in the Grand Théâtre de Genève, in the presence of the most influential personalities in the watch industry and representatives of the Geneva authorities. This event, which has become one of the highlights on the international watchmaking calendar, rewards the values of the watch industry: innovation, perpetuating expertise across generations and a constant quest for excellence.

This event which has established itself as a stellar fixture on the international watchmaking calendar offers an annual salute to the excellence of worldwide watch production.

The IMPERIALE Tourbillon Joaillerie is an exquisite embodiment of our two domains of excellence – watchmaking and jewellery. The breathtaking gem-setting work is a masterful demonstration of jewellery-making skills, while the L.U.C 02-14-L movement – entirely designed, developed and crafted by hand – is equipped with a tourbillon, one of the finest complications of watchmaking.
