The 20th Ennstal-Classic – “Driving in the last paradise”

For the fifth consecutive year, we were proud to be partner of the Ennstal-Classic, a prestigious classic car rally in Austria with the motto “Driving in the last paradise”. The Ennstal-Classic 2012, which took place in Gröbming from July 11th to 14th, was celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. The rally took participants through a fantastic route in the Styrian mountains and spectators were delighted by the view of historical cars.

As an homage to these 20 consecutive years of representing a long tradition of classic racing, we launched an exclusive chronograph with a special feature: the number „20“ is symbolically displayed on the position of 12 o’clock. The Chopard Ennstal-Classic Chronograph 2012, which was presented end of April in Vienna by Sir Stirling Moss, is limited to 20 pieces.

Karl Scheufele, chairman of Chopard, and his son Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, Co-President, opened on Saturday morning the now traditional Chopard Brunch at the Ennstal-Classic. We were honoured to welcome many legendary pilots for this occasion: Sir Stirling Moss with Lady Susie, Nigel Mansell, Earl of March and Kinrara, Jochen Mass, Nanni Galli, Dieter Quester, Jo Ramirez, Norman Dewis, Mario Illienand and Maria Teresa de Filipis.

The involvement in the Ennstal-Classic, just as in the Mille Miglia, the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique or other classic racing events, is sign of our passionate relationship with the world of classic cars and our profound respect for sporting excellence driven by passion and precision.
