Each year, like a precious rendez vous with beauty-loving collectors, Chopard creates a timepiece whose muse is the peony: L.U.C XP Esprit by Fleurier Peony. For this new eight-piece limited edition, the Maison called on its Mains d’art (artistic hands). The dial is a dazzling combination of crafts such as gold engraving, transfer printing and mother-of-pearl cutting, while its movement – a 35 mm L.U.C Calibre 96.23-L. designed and produced by Chopard Manufacture – is entirely decorated with floral engraving, a now rare art that is perfectly mastered by Chopard artisans.

Entirely developed, produced and assembled in Chopard’s Fine Watchmaking workshops, the L.U.C 96.23-L self-winding mechanical movement oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and has a 65-hour power reserve thanks to Twin technology: a patented Chopard system that combines two coaxial barrels, a particularly remarkable feat given the movement’s extreme thinness at just 3.3 mm thick. The movement is wound by a 22-carat gold micro-rotor. Engraved by hand using the Fleurisanne engraving technique, this movement demonstrates Chopard's passion for Artistic Crafts.
