Happy Snowflakes celebrates the magic of winter. Like the snow globes of our childhood, this exquisitely poetic timepiece brings a touch of eternity to the ephemeral crystals that fall from the sky. An illusion perfectly mastered thanks to the expertise of several craftsmen, combined with premium materials. The mother-of-pearl of the dial comes from shells carefully selected by Chopard. Hues, iridescent effects, textures: each characteristic is studied in order to create a naturally shiny, luminous decoration with the most realistic depiction possible. Highly skilled in the art of mother-of-pearl marquetry, the dial-maker has succeeded in tracing extremely fine snowflakes on this fragile surface, while others appear on the sapphire crystal well as on the sides of the case. Hand-engraved, they create a striking effect, as if real snow crystals were landing on the watch for a moment before vanishing.... Embellished with a special snow setting, the bezel glows with dazzling radiance, like snow sparkling in the sunlight. Using his instinct and expertise, the gemsetter individually carved out each of the cavities in the gold in order to accommodate the stones that were then individually adjusted as the work progressed.
