The watch's gold originates from community-based artisanal and small-scale mining organisations developed under the Alliance for Responsible Mining. Chronometer-certified by the COSC, its self-winding L.U.C Calibre 96.09-L is housed inside an ultra-thin case and protected by glareproofed scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. Outside, its unique galvanised dial is inspired by gold nuggets and features a sophisticated slate-grey colour and a subtle curve. • Entirely developed, produced and assembled in the Chopard High Watchmaking workshops, the self-winding mechanical L.U.C 96.09-L movement beats to a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz) and possesses a 65-hour power reserve thanks to Chopard’s Twin technology, a system invented by Chopard combining two coaxial barrels. Bearing the Fleurier Quality Foundation seal and COSC certification as a chronometer, it represents a particularly remarkable technical achievement in view of the extreme slenderness of the movement at 3.3 mm of thickness.
