Description
Immersed in Chinese cultural codes, the L.U.C XP Urushi Spirit of Shí Chen is the first L.U.C timepiece to display the traditional Chinese time or Shí Chen. The animals of the zodiac that symbolize the hours slowly rotate along on an Urushi lacquer disk featuring the symbol of prosperity and its god Lu Xing. This creative new complication is released in a limited series of just 88 timepieces. Its manufacture movement, the L.U.C 96.29-L, is protected by an 18-carat ethical rose gold case of an extraordinary finesse – symbolic and physical – at just 40 mm.

Movement
Fully developed, produced and assembled in the Chopard Fine Watchmaking workshops, the self-winding mechanical movement L.U.C. 96.29-L is the first movement by Maison Chopard to feature a rotating disk displaying the twelve signs of the Chinese zodiac. It provides the watch with exceptional timekeeping performances and a comfortable 65-hour power reserve thanks to Twin technology, a system patented by Chopard that combines two coaxial barrels, a particularly remarkable technical achievement in light of the extreme slenderness of its 3.97 mm-thick movement.
