In 2017, for its 20th edition as official partner to the Cannes Festival, Chopard dazzled onlookers with its daring and vividly coloured creations set to shine on the famous red carpet and legendary steps. Celebrating two decades of a great partnership, Caroline Scheufele designed vividly-coloured creations brilliantly illustrating her boundless creativity and the expertise of the artists exercising their skills in Chopard’s Haute Joaillerie ateliers. Earrings and bracelets have always been red carpet favourites, distinctively accentuating a slender neck or dainty wrist.
The 2017 Red Carpet Collection offered modern and audacious interpretations, whether in terms of design or materials. Chandelier earrings, or round and supple models forming carpets of multicoloured fine gemstones – to mention just a few – were matched by broad cuff bracelets made of titanium and featuring richly brocaded arabesque motifs. This extremely light metal may be tinted in an incredibly broad palette of colours, thereby reinforcing the sparkle of the stones adorning it, and providing scope for a wide range of fancy touches. Rings adorned with coloured stones of all cuts and majestic necklaces rounded off this kaleidoscope ensuring a stunning celebration of 20 exceptional years shared by the world’s most prestigious film festival and the Maison Chopard.
