MILLE MIGLIA
The legendary Mille Miglia car race was held annually from 1927 to 1957 before being revived in 1977. It takes competitors over 1,000 miles (1,600 kilometers) through the magnificent Italian countryside from Brescia to Rome and back again. Karl-Friedrich Scheufele is passionate about classic cars and has played an active part in the race since 1988, when Chopard became one of the event's main sponsors and official timekeeper for the first time. In his words, “Lovers of fine automobiles are said to have a weakness for precious timekeepers, and vice versa. In both fields, extreme precision and sporting elegance play a capital role.”
