The L.U.C Collection is a tribute to watchmaker Louis-Ulysse Chopard, a watchmaker from the Swiss village of Sonvilier who in 1860 founded the company that still bears his name. Each part of these exceptional timepieces is a masterpiece its own right, designed to spotlight the craftsmanship of the past for the distinguished contemporary gentleman. The L.U.C Haute Horlogerie Collection is crafted with the attention to detail expected of Swiss watchmaking excellence, to satisfy the most discerning of wearers.

Heritage and Tech: two distinct styles that pay tribute to the past while inventing the future. By creating these two collections, Chopard is firmly committed to using sophisticated craftsmanship to shape the future of Haute Horlogerie. The Tech collection represent the most cutting-edge technical and aesthetic innovations while the Heritage watches combine high-precision movements with classic watch design.

  • The orbital display, with the representation of the moon and the way in which the sun's light makes it visible to us is achieved by two concentric discs rotating at different speeds against the background of a starlit sky.
  • The self-winding calibres driving these models are endowed with a 65-hour power reserve thanks to their two stacked barrels (L.U.C Twin technology).
  • Chopard's high-precision moon-phase models are extremely accurate: this complication loses just one day in 122 years.
  • These masterpieces keep very close track of the real average length of time between two full moons: 29 days, 12 hours, 44 minutes and 2.9 seconds.

The sight of the celestial bodies in motion has fascinated humankind since time immemorial.

Among them, the moon has a place all of its own, as a familiar face so apparently close to us and which embodies nocturnal beauty while inspiring countless myths and legends.

Two or three hands, a dial, a case, a movement and a strap: that sums it all up!

The ultra- thin watches in the L.U.C collection embody the very essence of a watch: simple objects concealing any underlying complexity and whose sole purpose is to tell the time while adopting a deliberately low profile.

All L.U.C movements are entirely designed, developed and produced by Chopard Manufacture, reviving the tradition established by Louis-Ulysse Chopard. Ten distinct families of L.U.C calibres comprise more than 60 different variations of high-precision mechanisms, all chronometer-certified by the COSC. Several also meet the demanding quality criteria of the “Poinçon de Genève” or the Fleurier Quality Foundation. An annual output of only 5’000 pieces testifies to the exclusive movement creation process of Chopard Manufacture.
