CHOPARD WINS COVETED JEWELLERY AWARD AT THE 2021 GRAND PRIX D'HORLOGERIE DE GENEVE (GPHG)

THE "FLOWER POWER" JEWELLERY WATCH

Chopard’s exquisitely crafted “Flower Power” jewellery watch has been named winner of the Jewellery category at the 21st edition of the prestigious Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) awards ceremony which took place on Thursday 4 November.

This exceptional watch was one of a stunning three Chopard nominations shortlisted in three of the 14 different categories. Other watches in the running for the coveted distinctions were the exquisitely crafted ultra-thin L.U.C Flying T Twin Ladies timepiece in the Ladies' Complication category and the Maison’s very first jumping-hour timepiece, the L.U.C Quattro Spirit 25, in the Men's Complication category.

A horological feat from Chopard's Red Carpet Collection

Designed for the 74th Cannes Film Festival, to which Chopard has served as official partner since 1998, the “Flower Power” jewellery watch pays tribute to exceptional gemstones. While instilling a baroque, fanciful spirit into the Collection, Caroline Scheufele has drawn on the lush nature of the mythological or real places populating her fantasy repertoire. In this bountiful Garden of Eden, precious stones are picked like berries, while plants, birds and animals offer their vibrancy, their songs and their spectacular colours.

Thanks to their unique watchmaking and jewellery expertise, the Artisans of the Geneva-based Maison have thus exquisitely adorned this timepiece with pink sapphires and pear-shaped as well as brilliant-cut diamonds, assembled into subtle flower garlands totalling around 76 carats. The pink mother-of-pearl dial itself is meticulously set with 12 pink sapphires. In tribute to a Paradise of light and colour, the entire watch is made of ethical Fairmined-certified 18-carat white gold reflecting Chopard's commitment to sustainable luxury.
