  • Since 2013, Chopard has dedicated a Swiss watch in its L.U.C Haute Horlogerie collection to the sign of each Chinese zodiac year. This luxury watch is designed on the basis of the L.U.C XP ultra-thin model, featuring a dial adorned using the Urushi Maki-e technique – combining lacquering and gold dust – within a highly symbolic stage-setting and systematically produced in an 88-piece limited series. In 2022, the Year of the Tiger, this tradition is embodied in an exceptional watch made from ethical 18-carat rose gold: the L.U.C XP Urushi Year of the Tiger.

  • Entirely developed, produced and assembled in the Chopard Fine Watchmaking workshops and a COSC-certified chronometer, the self-winding mechanical L.U.C 96.17-L movement beats to a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz) and possesses a power reserve of approximately 65 hours thanks to Twin technology, a system invented by Chopard combining two coaxial barrels, a particularly remarkable technical achievement in view of the extreme slenderness of the movement at just 3.3 mm of thickness.
