Chopard
Official Partner of the Cannes Film Festival

Since 1998, Chopard has formed a glittering duo with the Cannes Film Festival, to which it serves as official partner. The Maison loves Cinema: artisan of the Palme d'Or and all the prizes awarded at the end of the competition, we are also keen to promote the up-and-coming generation of the film industry by yearly presenting the Trophée Chopard to a young actor and actress. Synonymous with glamour, Chopard accompanies the traditional ascent of the steps by adorning the stars with stunning Haute Joaillerie creations from the Red Carpet Collection. « 3, 2, 1, Action ! »

The Quintessence of Glamour
Chopard loves cinema

Over the past few decades, Chopard has expressed the quintessence of glamour through the creation of unique Haute Joaillerie creations adorning the greatest film stars. Julia Roberts, Charlize Theron, Cate Blanchett, Julianne Moore, Sharon Stone, Gwyneth Paltrow, Hilary Swank, Marion Cotillard, Léa Seydoux, Penélope Cruz, Scarlett Johansson, Lupita Nyong’o, Freida Pinto, Fan Bing Bing, Zhang Ziyi, Isabelle Huppert, to mention but a few, have all dazzled on the red carpet wearing Haute Joaillerie treasures crafted by our workshops. Certain images remain etched in collective memory, such as Angelina Jolie in 2007,

resplendent on the red carpet in a yellow gown enhanced with daffodil diamonds. And how could one forget the natural and disarming charm of Julia Roberts, on her first appearance at the 2016 Cannes Festival, strolling around barefoot with her decolletage lit up by a luxury necklace set with a magnificent emerald; or again in 2022, when she chose a glowing necklace adorned with a rare yellow diamond to wear when accompanying Caroline Scheufele to the premiere of Armageddon Time (directed by James Gray) at the 75th Cannes Festival?

The award
Palme d'Or

Coveted by every director, the Palme d’Or each year honours the best film at the Cannes Film Festival. Redesigned in 1998 by Caroline Scheufele, it is exclusively crafted in the Maison's workshops, together with all the trophies awarded during the festival’s closing ceremony. Since 2014, it is also the only film trophy made from Fairmined-certified ethical gold.

Tomorrow's talent
Trophee Chopard

Created in 2001, each year the Trophée Chopard shines a light on the up-and-coming generation of the international film industry by rewarding a promising young actor and actress. From Marion Cotillard and Jessie Buckley to Niels Schneider and Jack Lowden, along with Léa Seydoux and John Boyega, Trophée Chopard laureates have repeatedly forged illustrious careers affirming their exceptional promise.

A CELEBRATION OF THE ARTS
Red Carpet Collection

As Chopard’s creative soul, artistic director Caroline Scheufele has chosen 'Art' as the theme of the Maison's anticipated Red Carpet Collection. Architecture, sculpture, painting, music, literature, dance and cinema: all the noblest forms of human genius will be highlighted in 76 new Haute Joaillerie creations.

Red Carpet 2023
