1000 Miglia race & Chopard
A very special relationship

In 2023, Chopard celebrates one of the longest event partnerships in the luxury watch industry – that between the Maison and the 1000 Miglia, for which Chopard has been the proud world sponsor and official timekeeper since 1988.

The world's most beautiful race

A regularity race for historic cars that passes through the unique landscapes of the most beautiful parts of Italy, there is no part of the 1000 Miglia that could be described as ‘easy’.
Not least because the 1,000-mile event demands total concentration and physical resilience on behalf of the crews and – as far as the cars are concerned – sufficient mechanical durability to be driven hard for hours on end while remaining reliable.
In addition to the endurance, tactics, driving skill and determination of its drivers, it is also a race characterised by their enthusiasm and team spirit.
As well as the warmth of the public and all-pervasive ambiance of Italian dolce vita along the classic route from Brescia to Rome and back.

"The qualities required to participate in this rally are well known and they are quite logically similar to those of Chopard"s watchmakers."

Karl-Friedrich Scheufele

Surpassing oneself
A way of life

Competitive spirit and sense of camaraderie; energy and dynamism; speed and style; along with a crucial timing element: such are the attributes that make the 1000 Miglia such a perfect fit with Chopard, born of Karl-Friedrich Scheufele’s personal passion for classic cars.

A legendary race
An iconic watch collection

Each event has been marked with a new edition of Chopard’s Mille Miglia chronograph watches, which have become collectors items as synonymous with the 1000 Miglia as the cars which take part in it. An example of the current year's chronograph watch is presented to each competing team, complete with their car’s entry number engraved on the caseback.

A true friendship
A proud association
