[Wei Koh] A pièce unique version of the Full Strike which I think was intended for SIAR if I'm not mistaken.

[Karl-Friedrich Scheufele] It's intended for SIAR the famous watch fair in Mexico City.
(Close-up of the Dia de los Muertos watch)
[Karl-Friedrich Scheufele] One or two years before we decided to get inspired by ancient Mexican tradition and we designed this particularly striking execution of our minute repeater.
(Wei Koh holds up the watch to admire it)
[Wei Koh] So what's amazing about this watch is the way which the technical dimensions of the watch have been integrated into the artistic dimensions of the skull.
(Close-up shot of the watch with intricate engravings on the side of the case)
[Karl-Friedrich Scheufele] It's what you could call design follows function.
(Close-up of the back of the watch which reveals its mecanical parts within)
[Karl-Friedrich Scheufele] Or function follows design, whichever way round, but it certainly works very well.
[Wei Koh] Incredible, I love it.
(Wei Koh looks closely at the watch with an impressed smile)
[Wei Koh] Tell me a little bit about the in-house competences that you have for engraving, for gemsetting, for the decoration of the dial, and how they all come together in this one incredible timepiece.
(Macro shots of the engravings on the watch, the sapphires surrounding the dial, the iconic Calavera skull symbol which opens to reveal the inner workings of the watch)
[Karl-Friedrich Scheufele] It's a young lady that works in our workshops in Geneva who co-designed and executed this incredible engraving. It took her the better part of a month and a half. I think an opportunity sometimes comes along and you don't exactly know what to do with it, but the only thing that you are sure of is that you don't want to let it pass. This one is really out of the box. I think it's a luxury that we indulge in once in a while, we say OK, we are going to make something totally different from the kind of serious L.U.C look that we normally portray.
