Chopard will ensure that you can exercise your rights pertaining to your Personal Data, including rights as provided by various data protection laws. Chopard therefore informs you that, where applicable under relevant law, you are entitled to:
Access: You have the right to know what Personal Data have been collected about you – such as the categories of Personal Data – and how such Personal Data have been processed. You may access your Personal Data upon simple request – that is, you may receive a copy of such data (if requested), unless such data is made directly available to you, for instance within a personal account;
Access to Direct Marketing Information: You may obtain access upon simple request, and free of charge, to the categories of Personal Data shared with third parties for direct marketing purposes, including the list and addresses of those third parties (if applicable);
Rectification/Correction: You have the right to request changes to inaccurate Personal Data should it be inaccurate, incomplete, or obsolete;
Deletion and the “right to be forgotten”: You have the right to request that we delete certain Personal Data we have collected from you from our records and from our service providers’ records subject to certain exceptions. In certain circumstances, you may also have the right to be forgotten. This is not an absolute right. Where applicable, you have the right to withdraw your consent for the processing of your Personal Data at any time, and may do so by any of the means described below under the “How to Contact Us” section below. If you desire to withdraw your consent, you may exercise the right to have data erased. Note that it may not apply in circumstances in which your Personal Data is otherwise lawfully processed, and this right may not affect the lawfulness of that processing.
Object: You may declare that you do not want your Personal Data processed (in whole or in part) at any time, where it has been collected and processed based on Chopard’s legitimate interests. Please note we may ask you to justify your request by explaining to us your particular situation.
Restrict processing: You have the right to limit the processing of your Personal Data – that is, to limit the way we use your Personal Data. This is an alternative to exercising your “right to be forgotten.” This right is also not an absolute right, and will apply in certain circumstances.
Be informed: You have the right to obtain any and all information regarding the processing of your Personal Data, including the legal bases and business/commercial purpose for collection/processing, the sources of collection, and the categories of third parties with whom your Personal Data is shared. This right applies to information that is clear, correct, comprehensive and easy to access.
Data portability: You have the right to transfer (or to ask for the transfer of) your Personal Data from one electronic processing system to another electronic processing system.
Restrict automated decision making or profiling: You have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, such as profiling.
Lodge a complaint: You have the right to lodge any complaint that you may have with a supervisory authority.
Non-Discrimination: You have the right, under relevant laws, to non-discrimination in the Services or quality of Services you receive from us for exercising your rights, including the right not to be denied Services, charged different.
“Opt-out”: Under certain laws, you may also have th right to “opt-out” of having your Personal Data sold to a third party. However, Chopard does not sell your Personal Data to any other party. Only in the case of a merger, sale, financing, acquisition, or other transaction involving all or part of Chopard may your information be involved in a transaction.
