Artistic Crafts in Time

L.U.C Collection

Chopard's quest for excellence is deeply rooted in the Manufacture's values: discipline, aesthetic sensibility and humility converge in a relentless pursuit of perfection. This philosophy naturally resonates with Japanese culture, which elevates everyday objects into works of art. Guided by a respect for traditional craftsmanship and a celebration of subtle details, the L.U.C collection welcomes a selection of limited-edition timepieces that celebrate the rich heritage of the Artistic Crafts.

L.U.C Full Strike Spirit of the Warrior

Inspired by the world of samurai and the moral principles defining the discipline of Japanese warriors, Chopard unveils a one-of-a-kind model from its L.U.C Full Strike collection, enhanced by Artistic crafts. Each element of this creation is designed as a tribute to Japanese aesthetics and spirituality, where engraving becomes a language of its own, transforming the timepiece into a sculpted story.

L.U.C Quattro Spirit Enso

The first series pays tribute to the ensō, the emblematic circle drawn in a single stroke as an act of meditation and mindfulness. This illustrates the beauty of the moment and the acceptance of imperfection through the balance between emptiness and fullness. At times fine and regular and at others broad and irregular, each ensō reflects the state of mind of the calligrapher at the moment of its creation and celebrates the diversity of meanings that this circle can convey: calm, energy, movement or emptiness

L.U.C Quattro Spirit Samurai Last Stand

The second dial is inspired by a powerful symbol from Japanese military history: the tattered battle fan. This rare motif, evoking both the fragility of life and resilience in the face of adversity, embodies the warrior's determination to continue fighting despite his wounds. Subtly reproduced on the dial, the pattern pays tribute to the spirituality of the Japanese warrior

L.U.C Quattro Spirit Meditating Daruma

The dial of the third L.U.C Quattro Spirit limited edition depicts a legendary monk named Daruma who was the founder of Zen Buddhism. Having meditated while facing a wall for nine years, Daruma embodies the quest for spiritual awakening, resilience and inner balance. His round silhouette with no arms or legs has become a universal symbol of perseverance: “Fall seven times, get up eight”. Echoing this figure in a minimalist and deeply spiritual interpretation, and faithful to the philosophy of letting go, the dial is a tribute to Daruma's quiet strength and the art of controlled movement, resonating as an invitation to contemplation.

L.U.C XP
Urushi Ukiyo-e

Produced in a limited edition of just eight timepieces, the L.U.C XP Urushi Ukiyo-e is an exceptional creation inspired by the iconic Mount Fuji, immortalized in Japanese master printmaker Katsushika Hokusai's work. Its unique dial is handcrafted in Japan by a master lacquerer using the traditional maki-e technique: an ancient art that involves embedding gold or silver powder into lacquer to create intricate, shimmering patterns.

L.U.C XP Sakura by Night

This 35 mm diameter timepiece delicately captures the nocturnal contemplation brought about by cherry blossoms (sakura), revered in Japanese culture as a symbol of fleeting beauty and renewal. Its dial is a true work of art, combining guilloché engraving, translucent lacquer, sculpted mother-of-pearl and openworked gold. Set with diamonds, it reveals a striking visual depth and a poetic interplay of light and texture.

L.U.C XP Nihontō

Presented in Chopard's ultra-thin case, the L.U.C XP Nihontō timepiece features a dial that's meticulously crafted from damascened steel using a technique inspired by Tamahagane — the sacred steel used in traditional Japanese swords (nihontō). Composed of 120 to 160 layers, each dial reveals moiré patterns that evoke flickering flames, their random formation guided by nature. Each piece is truly a one-off — a unique expression of craftsmanship.
