Chopard Manufacture
Exceptional horological development

Following 25 years of their creation, our workshops have accompanied the deployment of a complete repertoire of calibres covering almost all existing horological complications. Twenty-two registered patents testify to this continuous quest for innovation and improvement. The feats achieved include an ultra-thin self-winding micro-rotor movement; several references with very long power reserves; an integrated self-winding chronograph with a flyback function; a high-frequency movement; a tourbillon and an ultra-thin flying tourbillon; a perpetual calendar with a large date and astronomical moon phases; a world time: a chime-in-passing mechanism; a minute repeater; and multiple combinations of these complications.

Iconic Swiss watches

L.U.C collection
Exceptional watches

Since 1997, the L.U.C. collection of complication watches has been the expression of a visionary conception of Haute Horlogerie. Today, it offers an exhaustive range of watch complications, all made in-house through a combination of tradition and innovation. The work of experienced artisans, its Swiss watches with their simple, uncluttered design reflect the highest degree of mechanical sophistication.

A collection of talent
Showcasing artisan skills

Since its founding, Chopard Manufacture has tirelessly demonstrated its mission to unite artisans whose expertise must be preserved at all costs. For certain crafts, this involves reviving techniques that were thought to have been lost forever.

For others, it requires perpetuating skills that are in danger of vanishing. It is through training, apprenticeship, research and constant investment that Chopard Manufacture has built up a library of applied and living knowledge. Today, our workshops house more than 20 craft trades, including Grand Feu enamelling, Fleurisanne engraving and circular-graining.

Sharing and preserving
A legacy of artisanal expertise

Attentively aware of our responsibility to preserve the know-how and techniques developed by generations of master watchmakers over the centuries, we are conscious that our greatest heritage is above all human. Due to this, Chopard Manufacture is at the heart of our policy when it comes to passing on skills. A total of 40 apprentices are trained each year in our school, distributed across our sites in Fleurier and Meyrin.

At the end of their multi-year course, during which they are introduced to all watchmaking techniques, including the rarest and most traditional, these qualified craftsmen are ready to take over. In addition, Chopard, recognised as the "best training company" by the State of Geneva in 2008, provides the study timepiece that serves as the basis for the apprenticeship at the Geneva School of Watchmaking.
