We aim to reduce the environmental impact of our owned facilities through the effective management of identified risk areas. By effectively managing energy usage, recycling pre-consumer waste materials and reducing our packaging, we continue to demonstrate our commitment to tackling climate change and making sure that all materials are manufactured in a responsible manner. This also helps ensure that end-of-life waste does not create additional environmental damage.
Our facilities meet and exceed all legislative requirements, providing efficient, low environmental impact buildings and thus demonstrating our commitment to sustainable growth.
Our Swiss facilities are supplied by 100% renewable electricity, and we have installed solar panels at the Fleurier Ebauches production site. Specific measuring systems have been installed to monitor our VOC emissions as well as our water and electricity consumption.
We also monitor the waste generated by our operations to reduce our overall environmental impact over time. Guided by the REDUCE – REUSE – RECYCLE motto, we have established a comprehensive range of recycling lines allowing for the collection and reuse of nearly 30 different materials.
Chopard constantly works on improving the packaging material used for all our masterpieces. Our watch and jewelry packaging range now features materials certified by the Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC), Oeko-Tex and the Programme for Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC). All Chopard printed marketing and communication material, as well as all in store shopping bags and wrapping, are made of FSC-certified paper.
